Alto Mobile's UI-2 and UI-4 are signal interface devices that are especially useful when upgrading factory-fitted audio systems or when using high-end Balanced output head-units. They will accept an input from virtually any audio source including Balanced, BTL (Bridged Tied Load), Common Grounded, or Low Level Unbalanced. They then convert the input signal as necessary to provide a high quality High Level Unbalanced signal optimized for our range of signal processors and power amplifiers.
2-channel and 4-channel versions available.
High Level Input: Stereo 4 wire +/- input allows direct connection of aftermarket or factory radios without line-level outputs, via their speaker output wires.
Balanced / Unbalanced Line-Level Input: Stereo RCA phono inputs accept a fully balanced signal (for high-end head-units that have balanced outputs) as well as the more typical low level unbalanced signal.
Line-Level Output: Stereo RCA phono outputs for connection to any Alto Mobile processor or amplifier.
Line Driver / Variable Output Gain: Equipped with an output level control capable of boosting a low-level signal to a maximum of 9V RMS (28V peak). Can be used as a line driver, comfortably able to drive the input of several amplifiers.
Active Electronic Circuit Design: Incorporates a DC to DC switching power supply and studio quality op-amps for low noise and clean, stable conversion of the audio signal.
Impedance Matching: When interfacing via the speaker level inputs, the high input impedance makes the interface almost invisible to the factory radio. The very low output impedance helps overcome capacitive loads (i.e. long cable runs) and minimizes unwanted introduction of external noises.
