I'm not sure, if the french laws are as strict or as strictly enforced as in germany. But here you could run into serious trouble with the police if you use an obvious modification as an indicator without diffusing lens on the roads.
But if you find someone to produce a clear diffusing lens you could easily replace it that way.

I have finaly built the operation
In France the police isn't hard, the turn signal must orange, I change morning the white bulb for a chrome/orange

the good bulbs is in the headlight

naja klar bzw. durchsichtig find ich besser als Orange.....
