Last weekend we conducted a small spy trip to Center Parcs “De Vossemeren” in Lommel, a.k.a. the location for the INMM2005. Here are some scoops of the considered party location.
On the outside you will only see an innocent looking hangar. Nothing indicates the “horror” waiting inside for the visitors. One thing is for sure though. The location suits the theme. It already starts at the entrance;

Luckily enough we found a side entrance which lowers the risk of getting wet considerably.
Once you get through this, you will enter a large hall and the theme of the party becomes clear almost instantly;

The “hall” has been set up as some kind of docking area. There is a dock on the one the one side and a stranded ship on the other side.

The picture is completed with al kind of jungle aspects



For those of you who have concerns about the dress code: you don’t have to bring your own animals. These are already available;


During one of our spy trips we also caught the organising committee.

Bart is spotted on the back and you can look Quicksilver in the face. Morty is spotted at the right in the back. We did not have the impression that they noted us, so this post will come as a surprise. We have been able to trace who they were having a discussion with … the guy that runs the surf shop. He was not willing to provide further comments, but we have some ideas. During this meeting we heard some mysterious laughs numerous times.
The INMM arrangement comes with the All American Breakfast. This is bad news for those trying to loose some weight. It is simply impossible to eat against the staff: while you are emptying your plate, the staff refills the buffet with fresh meals.


The other facilities of the park are considered known. Naturally, a modern swim paradise with waterslides and a wild water run (which our 6-year old daughter was not willing to abandon). Caution: there is a Kärcher gang active there. Loaded with a larger machine they are constantly cleaning the area. Hygiene is rated very high is this place. Lots of sport facilities, both indoor (tennis, badminton, bowling, etc.) and outdoor (tennis, midget golf, climbing, etc.)
Anyway, we have had great fun last weekend and are counting the days to the INMM. Hopefully this post triggered the enthusiasm of more of you and can the committee look forward to receiving some additional entries …
