Ahh.. here is the proof. The Dutch postal service is quicker than the German one. No welcome pack on my door step.

Ich habe heute den MINI UNITED E-Newsletter bekommen. Darin wird auch auf die Möglichkeit von Hotelbuchungen hingewiesen. Auf der Website ist dann aber nur ein Link zu einem Online Buchungsservice: http://www.eurosprintdue.com/hotels/de/default.asp

Wie sieht's aus? Hat jemand schon gebucht oder eine Empfehlung?

hi there.
Look, since we are going to be pretty short of time on our way to Misano (huh, consider the distance: it seems to me that our Russian team will make the longest trip to the destination point, am I right? It will take each of us 7000 km and 2 weeks to participate!), we'll make one stop (one night) on the way from Copenhagen to Italy somewhere in Germany just to meet you guys.
I'm afraid there will be no options for us to prolong the trip and spend more nights on our way at the checkpoints.
So try to walk in our shoes: if we realize driving through checkpoints doesn't take too much extra time but gives some entertainment - then we'll probably use this route. If not - we'll have to aim from Germany straight to Misano to make this part of our trip as short as possible.
However, no one yet knows what is Checkpoint? I mean if it is just a place to wait for others and then go further all together as a caravan - I don't see much sence in it for us, and you know our reasons...

On the MINI United site is a little bit info abouth the 'meeting points'.
They are in the north of Italy, and in a short time, they give more info.
So far i read it, are the meeting pionts places to arrange together, and get some food and drinks.

(I already now that subscribed for Italy, some people from Japan, and the USA but i think they take a airplane )
