You haven't lived until you run with the top down in the winter! It's invigorating! Earlier this year I started a MINI Cooper Polar Bear Club on Facebook when temperatures were dropping in Florida. I think several of you are members. 
My personal best is 28 degrees F with a windchill of 22 degrees and I drove that at highway speeds. It was great! Here is the video I recorded live in the MINI:

A different windscreen was being made in the States and several of my friends have it. You can leave it in all the time and it works very well. I tested one when it first came out and did not prefer it but many people do. I don't know if it's still being made.
