It has had a brand new turbo and wastegate, turbo pressure regulator, turbo diverter valve, exhaust cam sensor, spark plugs and trans service. Since then, it did about 800km without issue, then suddenly dropped into limp home mode and Check Engine light on.
I pulled the followed fault codes:
2DD0 Valvetronic System: Control Deviation Warning Threshold exceeded
2DCE Valvetronic System: No Adjustment Possible
2C57 Charging Pressure Control, Plausibility Pressure too low
2CB3 Wastegate valve, Activation: Suspicion of fault in Wastegate Activation
Have you found any resolution?
It's interesting to see, that replacement of the turbo charger, even a brand new does not solve the problem. In my case there are intermittent faults which rarely appeared - maybe I adjusted my driving style unconsciously to avoid the fault to be reappeared. As already mentioned somewhere these faults always came on at higher power demand at low rpms. Due to this workaround I did not yet any (expensive) part replacement, but replacement of the turbo charger itself is planned.
Based on the information you posted, I should better continue with troubleshooting instead of replacing parts, even I have the suspicion that my wastegate valve does not operate so smooth anymore.
Anyhow, in your case the wastegate can be suspended as root cause, as this valve is part of the brandnew charger. Further, most parts of the turbo charger vacum control have been already replaced at your MINI.
Did they any leak checks on the boost air ducts, including air cooler?
