@mike
genau diese werbung meinte ich!
zum art car zitiere ich ein wenig:
"In 1975, French racing driver and art auctioneer Herve Poulain came up with an idea. He was looking for a link between his involvements in art and racing, some way to add an artistic touch to the BMW3.0CSL he had entered in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Poulain's American friend Alexander Calder was living in France at the time, and he happily took up the challenge. Poulain's coupe was painted in big, bold shapes using Calder's favorite primary colors; the first BMW Art Car was one of Calder's last works before he died in 1976.
The drivers of the car in the 1975 24 Hours of Le Mans were Poulain, Sam Posey, and Jean Guichet. The coupe retired after seven hours and was never raced again. But the foundation stone had been laid for the BMW Art Car collection. Many consider the Calder car to be best of the collection, even now."
somit kam mcqueen also nicht in den genuß, diesen bmw zu fahren
