BTW: does anybody know the origin of these common, but somehow 'strange' scales ?
Scales like 1:10, 1:20, 1:50, 1:100 would be kind of easy to explain (easy conversion etc.), but why are there scales like 1:12, 1:18, 1:43, 1:87 ???
