MINI USA unterstützt ein dragster projekt! Nach einigen mutmaßungen auf mini2.com, jetzt die offizielle bekanntgabe auf motoringfile.com:

MINI USA has collaborated with the extreme California based tuner FIREBALL TIM RACING (FTR) to create a one-of-a-kind record-breaking dragster. The extreme MINI made its show debut, beating 300 competitors to win the "Best Engineered" award at the Hot Import Nights in Phoenix, Arizona Saturday, October 15th.

MINI USA provided FTR with a carbon-fiber bodied, 1700lb MINI Cooper S with John Cooper Works and an assortment of parts and accessories to create the 500 horsepower + twin-charged drag monster. The car will appear at select events through the end of 2005, making its performance debut at the NHRA Sport Compact World Finals in Pomona, October 22 followed by an appearance at SEMA in Las Vegas, November 1 - 4.

wenn 1 lb = 0.4536 kg würde das bedeuten, dieser mini wiegt nur knapp 800kg! und das in kombi mit einem bi-kompressor hammer...

die heckleuchten kommen mir auch bekannt vor, nur die ofenrohre häte ich lieber wieder an der wand als unterm auto

ob man darauf ne zulassung in de bekommt


bin ja mal gespannt, welche zeiten der so auf den Asphalt zuabert. aber 500 Ps und 800 KG ist schon sehr nice !

Das sind ja keine Reifen, sondern Asphalt-Trennscheiben.....

Ich glaube der TÜV würde jeden auslachen, der mit sowas kommt....

Dragster halt. Die haben normalerweise vorne Trennscheiben. Nur da das ein Fronttriebler ist wird das hier verdreht.
