Also wenn auf einem Treffen

1) die Gäste preislich abgezockt werden (Kein privates Treffen,das finanziert werden muß, sondern ein offizielles Treffen FÜR MINI-Fahrer),um eine riesige Werbeaktion von MINI/BMW zu finanzieren, mehr war es nicht

2) nagelnaue MINIs aus Neid oder Dummheit beschädigt werden und Accessoires von den MINIs geklaut werden

3) ein lächerliches Worldfinal in der MINI-Challenge ausgerufen wird,an dem
a) Fahrer teilnehmen,die gar nicht Challenge gefahren sind und
b) in die Wertung Kart- und Quad-Rennen mit einfließen und
c) die Autos definitiv NICHT die gleiche Leistung hatten, und
d) die ganze Rennveranstaltung als solche somit NICHT ernstzunehmen ist

...kann ich trotz einiger positiver Erfahrungen und Erlebnisse dem Treffen als Ganzem nicht mehr viel abgewinnen.

I have to answer this in english as I'm so mad I can't write in german! Of course its terrible if Minis get damaged, but this brought out the best in all the other Mini drivers and in BMW who pulled together and helped all of those who needed help... and did all they could possibly do, regardless of the nationality. All the staff from the securtiy to the check in girls to the ground staff were exteremly helpful and if they didn't know the answer..they found somene who did. I felt that we were treated like Kings...the way any customer should be treated and I think that BMW did a brilliant job.
Now I'm not sure how involved you are in the Mini Challenge but we personally know all of the english drivers and most of their staff and they definitely deserved to be there and there was no show...the only show race was the VIP one on Sunday, which was set up fro the crowd, it was a brilliant 3 days.
It is only natural that when BMW set up such a meeting that they will try to sell their product..and anyone who expects anything else must live on the moon! But it was all done in a professinal and low key way... you could look and touch and experience the MIni for yourself without having to sign up for anything!
But you know what, you can always stay away from then next Meeting...and leave the fun to the rest of us!
